Sequel to the successful revamp of "The Muppets" in 2011 is not as entertaining and a bit overlong but still worth a watch. Very consciously a sequel to the 2011 film, the movie sees the Muppets tricked into going on a world tour by a supposed agent Dominic Badguy (Ricky Gervais) but Kermit is replaced by world's most dangerous criminal Constantine who just escaped from Gulag and the tour is just a set-up for a big heist. Ty Burrell plays an Inspector Closeau-like Interpol agent on the trail of Badguy and Constantine and Tina Fey (the standout among the human actors) plays Nadya, a Gulag prison guard who develops a crush on Kermit. The cameos are impressive but excessive including the likes of Lady Gaga, Usher, Ray Litotta, Celine Dion, Tony Bennett, Josh Groban, Salma Hayek, Christoph Waltz and Danny Trejo. Like its predecessor, the movie is directed by James Bobin and written by Bobin and Nicholas Stoller.
