Review of Muppets Most Wanted (2014) by Adam S — 03 May 2014
The eighth cinematic outing for the furry creation of Jim Henson, "Muppets Most Wanted" wastes no time in letting us know in true Muppet fashion (i.e. through song) that they are doing a sequel.
Starring Kermit the Frog and the rest of the Muppets, alongside Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey and Ty Burrell (and a host of cameos including Lady GaGa, Celine Dion, Zach Galifianakis, Salma Hayek, Tom Hiddleston, Frank Langella, Ray Liotta, Danny Trejo, Saorise Ronan and Christoph Waltz) as Kermit the Frog is mixed up with dangerous criminal Constantine, leaving Kermit in a Gulag prison and Constantine in charge of the Muppets.
Wackier that 2011's "The Muppets", Most Wanted nonetheless expresses many Henson-esque qualities despite not living up to the previous entry.
Hopefully this isn't the last we see of the legendary puppets for a while yet.
