Review of Muppets from Space (1999) by Jessica R — 03 Mar 2008
The muppets are soooo alive, and running! This movie works for me on a bad day, watching it is equivalent to a bottle of Disarono. It will make you laugh, and who doesn't love all the muppets? (Sesame Street anyone?) Gonzo, as always, is the same sappy genital-nosed blue dude, with no family.
He has great friends, but he sees that everyone else has family. He gets messages from space in his cereal, and takes a ride with the cosmic fish. He even drunkenly cuts messages to be seen from space in his lawn lol! This movie also introduces Pepe, my favorite (newer) muppet of all time.
He's a King Prawn, M'Kay? (Not a Shrimp, do not tell him he is a shrimp.... he is a KING PRAWN.) As always, still the lackluster love between Kermit and Piggy, but Gonzo and Pepe are the real stars in this movie!
