Review of Muppets from Space (1999) by Michael L — 12 Feb 2012
Even bad muppets films have something to say for themselves and this is a case in point. Despite feeling a bit lifeless and strained, the attention to detail in the situation gags makes for little muppet moments of magic.
It's nice to see them perpetually in pyjamas, reassuring that they all have breakfast together, Pepe is a terrific character but although The Muppets live out their collective lives to some Sly influenced jazz funk soundtrack this doesn't feel anarchic enough.
Muppets by numbers.
