Review of Muppet Treasure Island (1996) by Spencer S — 28 Jul 2008

This is by far my favorite, and most watched (besides "Big Bird in China") of the muppet films. This time Kermit, Miss Piggie, Gonzo, and a plethora of other memorable characters set sail on the high seas in search of treasure.

By far one of the best parts of the film is the number of extremely clever and catchy songs that are peppered throughout. Another strong part of this film are the performances of the human actors, headed by Tim Curry, who rose to the occasion quite admirably and their unreserved acting to puppets makes the film all the more fun and real.
