Quite frankly I love the muppets, I clearly remember as a little child watching a lot of the movies and loving them. I also remember the tv show they had on ABC, which I watched on Disney as reruns, and just loving it, I watched the shows every week without fail until they stopped showing reruns (fucking douchebags).

I can understand the show not lasting all that long to be honest with you, the novelty of puppets wears off quickly as evidenced by the cancellation of the Jeff Dunham Show (which was also atrocious, whereas the muppets are awesome!).

Still with that said, I find it offensive that the muppets are now doing commercials for Walt Disney resorts and whatnot. That makes me mad, Mickey Mouse should be BOWING at the feet of the muppets...

BOWING I TELL YOU!!! The point I'm trying to make is that I'm a big fan of the muppets, therefore I am excited for the new movies that Jason Segel is co-writing and THAT movie has to be one of my most anticipated movies of wherever year it's going to be released, I don't give a FUCK who knows that, I digress.

THE REAL POINT I'm trying to make is that the muppets will always have a special place in my heart and therefore this won't be an un-biased review. So yea, I thought the movie was fun, as I've said the muppets are awesome.

I think they do a good job of making the movies entertaining for both kids and adults so that's most definitely a good thing. With the exception of a couple of jokes here that are just strictly for adults and that's part of the muppets greatness.

There's musical numbers here and yes they are silly but at least they recognize it (and it's sillyness) and the fourth wall is broken constantly and make reference to the poor script and how bad the movie is.

This, my friends, is also awesome. That being said, there's a part before Miss Piggie is introduced, where the movie just slows down. It's like they tried to lengthen a 75 minute movie into a 100 minute movie, but after Miss Piggie is introduced things pick up at the end there.

This movie is silly and they don't even try to pretend that it's anything serious. It's treasure island done muppets style. Again the constant breaking of the fourth wall helps to keep things from just being stupid.

This is, obviously, not the best of the muppets movie but it's still pretty fun and at least the first couple of muppet movies should be required viewing goddamnit! This review fucking sucks, but it's coming from a fan so I can't help but be overjoyed with the muppets.
