Review of Munich (2005) by Lauren B — 19 Jul 2009
Munich.
Steven Spielberg, Eric Bana.
A film of all films, that didnt really come off as great as possibilly expected,..not the best picture ...ever, ect.
, but wasnt that far from it with 5 best picture nominations from The Academy Awards. It had everything there to make it so but there was those little links towards on the build up to their (the assasins) field expieience crecendo here and there that left it short the grand first prize.
A great film all the same with seemingly effortless performances from all cast.
The international war on terrorism of the 70`s succeeding the masacre of the peacefull Israle colony of athletes at the 1976 Munich Olympic villiage and the botched getaway at the airport.
This hired group of spies and eventually assasins from THE govrnment movement effectivly involved, hired to take the ultimate revenge upon both the conspirators and the active terrorists at large, terminating thier lives, the still living villans that had managed to evade full punishment by political baargaining and blackmail.
The group get deeper and deeper into do do the more successful they are at achieving their ultimate goal ...killing alll these vermin on the to do list the commander assasin was ordered with.
Excellent picture. I liked it very much.
