Review of Munich (2005) by Narain S — 21 Aug 2010
I have solidified this as one of my top 3 favorite movies as of right now. I had been researching the "Munich Massacre" during a late boring night on wikipedia when I had seen that this film was indeed about that fateful stand-off during the summer Olympics back in '72.
This film to me is a true masterpiece. It captures the emotional and physical damage that was done to the group assigned to deal with "Black September", and not just to them but there families as well. Eric Bana is a phenom in this movie and to add Daniel Craig to this just blew my mind.
I will add that the movie really shows in depth how the tragic events that took place that day really hurt the Israelites as a society. You will feel for them because this truly was terrible. The movie is absolutly breathtaking and it is just a great all around movie and I don't know how someone can not get emotional watching that final sequence at the airport.
