Review of Munich (2005) by Pete S — 23 Sep 2012
Surprising for a Spielberg movie to be so morally detached but so much the better for it. Whilst the historical accuracy is somewhat questionable, the fiction creates an admirable tension and the character building works for the main part.
But the film tails off badly in the last half hour or so as so often with Spielberg, as he attempts to humanise and normalise the central character and over-emotionalises yet again as a consequence.
