Review of Munich (2005) by Augustine H — 08 Jun 2015
It's often overwrought and occasionally meandering . . . but still interesting. The film is remarkably cynical for Spielberg, and not just because it's so violent. Kushner and Roth's screenplay repeatedly hammers home the worthlessness and emotional toll of the terrorism/counter-terrorism cycle and nothing about Spielberg's direction seems to contradict that.
