I'd recommend this movie to anyone who's a fan of animation. The visuals, character designs, concept art, and music for this movie are all breathtaking. Unfortunately, the the rest of the movie doesn't hold up as well.
It falls into the same traps as many animated movies such as uninteresting characters, and out-of-nowhere romance, the whole "underestimated person suddenly chosen to do something great that no one expected", the story and characters are very predictable.
But it's definitely worth a watch if just for the animation.
