Review of Mummies (2023) by Pib — 20 Jun 2023

Pros-Thut is a relatable protagonist,having to overcone his trauma leading to his death. Princess Nefer is also relatable,wanting to be free to make her own way in the world. Thut and Nefer's chemistry are not too bad. Second is also comedic with his pet croc. The villain is also comedic,giving me a few laughs at times with his mother interrupting him gag.

Cons-The story's ending would have been better if Nefer stayed in the living world so as to finish her arc in finding her own way in the world in a satisfying way. The way they tried to make a selfless sacrifice is dumb,as he won't die cos he's dead already. The story reminds me too much of Rio but instead of having an impactful and beautiful ending like in Rio,it ends in a way that is unsatisfying.
