Review of Mumbai Meri Jaan (2008) by Bijoy A — 23 Aug 2008
Finally am glad to see someone stepping up and making something "not so commercial" and more that looks like reality. the "Dombivli Fast" fem Nishikant Kamat done it again, and this time with even better reach. Script of movie feels real and characters are well defined. Probably someone from Mumbai can relate to this movie more closely than others, regardless a real good piece of work by each and every actor. Right from "chai ki tapri" to "paanwala" to "the train"... every dialogs sounds real, with real common man language in city streets... finally ...
"Aye-Dil hai mushkil jeena yahan.
Zara hatke zara bachke yeh hai bambai mei jaan".
