Review of Multiplicity (1996) by Bill K — 20 Feb 2009
This movie is terrific. I watched this film and was amazed by how impressed I was. I wasn't expecting much when I watched the VHS tape, but man this film really delivered. The plot is simple yet very creative.
Micheal Keaton's character is having a hard time balancing work with his home life like many people do, when he meets a scientist who makes a clone of micheal to help with the work load. But it goes beyond 1 clone, when the work becomes to much for the first clone he clones himself again.
In total there are 3 clones, each with there own unique personality. This film is a non-stop laugh fest with many memorable and hilarious lines. Micheal Keaton is astounding in this film, playing the character Doug and all 3 of his clones.
This is a good fun comedy film, but as always there has to be some drawbacks. The major one here is that this film really lacks character developement. Aside from the main character and his clones (which barley develope at all), the wife and kids of Doug seem like almost minor characters, they just arent in the main focus.
Overall this is a great comedy film with lots of laughs and a solid script, I reccomend it to everyone who enjoys laughing until they cry, because this movie wont dissapoint you.
