Review of Mulberry Street (2006) by Nathan H — 18 Mar 2010
I usually cut movies from the After Dark Horrorfest a break. Their off beat indie films and are usually not the best of quality. Basically, as long as it has good scenery, I'm fine with it. The scenery in Mulberry Street is absolutely awful.
It's grungy in an all too real way. Maybe some of you go for that... Personally, if I want to see that kind of reality, I'll just go downtown and talk to some weirdos. I don't need to see these kinds of characters in a movie.
More like characters without character. The plot was really terrible as well. I thought I was going to see some zombie/disease movie. No. This is a rat people movie. I couldn't take it. Actually, I did.
I watched it all the way through but upon doing so, I found nothing that I liked about it at all. It was bad right down to the dialogue. SO in a nutshell the plot sucks, the setting sucks, the casting sucks, the dialogue sucks.
.... Awful movie. I'm about to give up on the After Dark Horrorfest.
