A vastly-underrated, super-low-budget horror movie about a group of New Yorkers holed up in their apartment complex when people around them start turning into rat-people hungry for flesh. The concept may sound a bit silly, but it is pulled of great here.

The characters are fairly well developed and actually act like real people (and you really start to care about them, and can even get a bit sad if one of them dies), the dialogue is solid, the scares are pretty good (lot of lingering dread feelings in this movie, and that's something horror movies really need to deliver), and the claustrophobic atmosphere works terrifically.

. Criticism has been given to the fact that the camera is a bit grainy and shakes too much, but I enjoyed it; it lent to a good documentary feel throughout the film. I highly reccommend this one, definitely the best of the Horrorfest lineup (which, all things considered, isn't the steepest of competition), and an entirely decent horror movie all around.
