There's nothing particularly wrong about this movie. It has good voice acting; with the exception of Eddie Murphy, I believe they even got all the original voice actors back. It also has better than TV animation, competent (though unremarkable) songs, and a wholesome plot.
It just doesn't have that extra something the original had. It felt very much like a made for DVD movie (which is what it is anyway): something bigger than just a serialized cartoon but not quite big enough for a feature film.
Still, fans of Mulan will occasionally find moments they'll be moved and entertained.
