Review of Mulan II (2004) by Sharon L — 05 Jul 2012
OMG! They said my name!!! Correctly too! That little girl is named Sha-Ron. And that's how you're really supposed to say my name... NOT Share-en. YAY!!!
Okay, besides that... I stick to what I said before in my review of the first movie. The dragon is annoying. VERY annoying. (Although I admit I laughed at his pranks aimed at Shang that one time.) He causes way too much trouble for very little reason. There were a LOT of cheesy parts due to that annoying dragon, and even the ending relies on him! While the story could have been really good, it felt slapped together near the end where he saves everything. The emperor never really does say how he feels about the princesses' new boyfriends, so you can only assume they get to marry without any problem just like a sugarcoated fairy tale.
This isn't nearly as interesting or epic as the first Mulan movie, but it was enjoyable.
