Review of Mulan II (2004) by John R — 23 Mar 2013
130323: I liked this film and it boosted my appreciation of the first. This is a love story and it's not fast paced. Some may find it a bit boring, including myself, but it's a heart-warming tale.
Mushu, who was very enjoyable in the first film, was not so in this one. His self-serving attempts to break up Mulan and Shang were nasty, almost unforgiveable. It really took away from a charcter I considered rather loveable.
Mushu does redeem himself in the film but not so much in my heart. Slow but enjoyable basically sums it up for me. Also, I'm happy I waited until I could find Mulan before watching this sequel. To be fully appreciated, they have to be seen in order.
