Review of Mulan (1998) by Timmy S — 03 Jan 2012
What another remarkable masterpiece. The animation is as breathtaking as everything else that came during the Disney Renaissance. The story is unique in a Chinese cultural setting, with Mulan's adventure turning into a grim epic one along the way.
The music sequences, as I expected to see in most animated features, were catchy, fitting, and classic right from the beginning (notable ones are "Honor to Us All", "I'll Make a Man Out of You", and "A Girl Worth Fighting For").
Now finally, as far as the voice acting goes, it's perfect. Eddie Murphy's voicing of Mushu was laugh-out-loud hilarious and genius for a comic relief character.
