Review of Mudbound (2017) by Johann M — 17 Feb 2018
Two men from a white family and an African-American family go to and return home from World War II to work on a farm in rural Mississippi, where they struggle to deal with racism and adjusting to life after war.
Based on a novel obviously, because it keeps some beautiful lines and artistic dialogue by the main protagonists until the bittersweet end of the film. The actors deliver powerful performances and it is generally good.
