The whole entire movie Mud feels like its based on a book, but it's not. Mud is its own movie with the plot being like the story of Tom Sawyer. It's pretty engaging too. Most of the characters like Mud are all three dimensional and all have feelings for helping each other out.
If I had to have one problem with the film, it has to be the way the characters talk. I know it takes place in the Mississpi River and everyone there speak all southern redneck, but I don't understand half the words they're saying most of the time.
I know I'm being a little races on this question, but please movie speak clearly so I could understand. Mud is a great film, but it's not too great from what I expected to see.
