Review of Mud (2013) by Kimberly A — 03 Jan 2014
This movie is what you get when you cross Huckleberry Finn, Forest Gump, Stand By Me and any book you've ever read that involved young boys growing up on the water (in my life growing up as a mud rat of the Chesapeake Bay, I could definitely relate to the river scenes, practically living in a flat-bottom boat, tinkering with outboard motors, and that just being part of everyday life).
This is definitely an award winner for Matthew McConaughey. Once again, he proves his acting chops. Young actor, Tye Kayle Sheridan, was portrayed character Ellis, masterfully. Excellent story!
