A very enjoyable film that came very close to being sappy at many points, but always found a way to drag me back in. The acting between Matthew McConaughey and Tye Sheridan was great, and the focus on Tye's character (the most developmental character) was smart.
I'm still wrapping my head around what Mud was lying to Ellis about, that whole scene where Ellis screams at Mud and breaks down (that Mud and Juniper truly didn't love each other?). My only complaint for this extremely well done movie.
