Ignore the largely superfluous 20% of the story that's a thriller and you have a rather sweet look at love and how all men approach it with the same befuddled naivete, whether they be kids or adults, cynics or optimists.
But as is the case with most 'male' stories, the guns come out and you have the 20% to deal with.
