I've been waiting a long time to see this one!

I missed this fantastic film when it first came out last spring because my local theater only played it for a couple of weeks. By the time I realized it had finally been there, it was already gone. I was so disappointed because I knew this little indie had been the darling of the Cannes Film Festival in 2012. So now that it is finally out on DVD, I was able to see the MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY performance as the title character, Mud, that was universally praised by critics and moviegoers alike.

I loved how this story was such an allegory of MARK TWAIN'S "The Adventures of Huck Finn" set in modern times. The coming-of-age that the two young boys go through as they help and learn from the mysterious Mud was simply heartwarming. I highly recommend seeing this amazing film. After waiting so long to finally get to see it, I can say it was well worth it!
