Love Jeff Nichols. He does such a great job of writing original stories & I find that so refreshing. I also enjoy his style of directing. I remember this was the movie that made me realize that Matthew McConaughey could be a great serious actor. His acting matched with the young actors, Tye Sheridan & Jacob Lofland was perfect. Great chemistry. I think I can see how other people might think it is slow but it wasn't bad for me. It is a coming of age story that has it all, love, betrayal & the pains of growing up. The cinematography & soundtrack were great in this as well. No one makes movies like Jeff Nichols & I am looking forward to seeing more.
Mud was a great movie! Well acted, interesting story, beautifully shot and the end had me on the edge of my seat! Well worth the buy :).
