Review of Mud (2013) by Jason K — 11 May 2016
One of the best movies I've seen recently. Slow and steady pace, reminiscent of the passing of a summer afternoon in the deep South. A coming-of-age fantastic realism story, reminding me of Stand By Me meets Big Fish, but with haunting realism.
McConaughey's role lends itself to his intense acting style. His performance is stellar.
