Review of Much Ado About Nothing (2013) by Martin C — 18 Jun 2013
A wonderfully charming adoption of probably the most accessible piece of work by Shakespeare. A modern setting but delivered with the orginal text, so for the first minutes it can be quite jarring, but as the film progresses this disconnect slips from your mind and you will be swept along by the wit of the script and the engaging performances from those involved.
I'm sure I still misessed some of the more subtler points of the script, but there are some wonderfully humourous visual gags to help lead through the text.
