Review of Much Ado About Nothing (2013) by Cheryl C — 22 Jun 2013
Funny and simple, but unfortunately too simple. One could say pretentious. My problem is the mere adaption of the old text in a modern setting. This didn't fit. And this is disturbing since even highschool kids can do better.
If you look at the best Union National Shakespeare Competition entries every year, esp. those from California, for example documented in the movie "Shakespeare High" you'll see much better adaptions of the classic "Much Ado About Nothing".
