Review of Much Ado About Nothing (2013) by Carley E — 03 Jul 2013
I think Shakespeare's MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING must be "lighthearted to a fault" for just when tragedy is to strike in Whedon's film, it backs off. We never really fear that Claudio will lose Hero or that Benedict will kill Claudio in the challenge.
Comedy is the thing; but villainy lurks and when it shows its face, I wish it'd stay around a tad longer. Still Whedon uses his actors and his own house with great skill. I'm glad I saw it.
