Where Baz Luhrman's modernized Shakespeare often stumbled and fell flat on its face with overcompensation and contrivance, Whedon's humble interpretation of the piece exudes an energy and intimacy that's hard to ignore.
As an added bonus, it's also partly wish fulfillment for a Whedonite.
