It's a strange thing to read Shakespeare and think, "This sounds like a Joss Whedon story." This film was seemingly meant to happen. I don't know if Whedon read this play back when he was a kid and was inspired, but I wouldn't be surprised.
Basically, if you like Whedon and you don't mine or like/love Shakespeare then you'll love this. It was great to see a small production which featured a number of familiar faces just doing something they love.
And you do see it; their love of this art form.
