Review of Much Ado About Nothing (2013) by Helen S — 22 Mar 2014
Really enjoyed this film. As a self confessed Shakespeare nut it's the little extra touches of interpretation that raise a smile - Dogberry locking the keys in the car, Don John grabbing a cupcake on his exit from the ruined wedding, Don Pedro falling down drunk as he 'proposes' to Beatrice, and Joss Whedon has a whole new interpretation of Beatrice's line "I know you of old"!
Light, modern, well paced - a good adaptation ... with a tour of the Whedon house thrown in.
