Review of Much Ado About Nothing (1993) by Femi R — 17 May 2008
One of the best film adaptations of Shakespeare you can find. Unfortunately, the play itself is not one of Shakespeare's best. Luckily, the superb casting makes up for it. Everyone is hillarious, articulate, and clearly knows what they're saying (which is often a problem with performances of Shakespeare), with the exception of Keanu Reeves, who is so bad it's funny, and Denzel Washington, who is just plain bad.
I've got to give Michael Keaton special notice, however, because his portrayal of Dogberry is nothing short of genius. Bravo!
