Review of Mrs Palfrey at The Claremont (2005) by Sv G — 09 Jun 2007
An absolutely beautiful film. The life struggles we all go through at various stages of our lives. What we can learn from one another by sharing & reaching out. Endearing and memorable. Joan Plowright was a thing to behold, and Rupert Friend gives an outstanding performance himself.
Sweet but not sickeningly so. Sad but not morbidly so. Realistic but not harshly so. I loved it.
