Review of Mrs Palfrey at The Claremont (2005) by Tony C — 23 Sep 2008
I finally got around to watching this movie. What an absolutely charming and tender movie. It captures the sadness and inevitability of aging and loss as well as highlighting the kindness and exuberance of youth.
Young people in today's movies are so often presented as selfish, shallow and focused only on their own age cohorts that it is a pleasure to see a portrayal of kindess and intergenerational friendship.
I was moved, I cried, I loved it.
