Review of Mrs. Hyde (2018) by Olivierpiel — 01 Jan 2019
This is a very underrated film by Bozon. It eschews all the mawkish clichés that were to expect about the kind teacher and the rag-tag group of immigrant kids in a third-rate high-school. It manages to be poignant and sarcastic at the same time (and au passage making fun of the American super heroes movies).
It is a very refreshing take on the famous tale and an hymn to human ingenuity and poetry.
