Review of Mrs. Harris (2006) by Ralph R — 16 Feb 2008
Having actually lived through this episode (Mrs. Harris killed Dr. Tarnower during my senior year at Madeira), this was kinda hard to watch. Annette Benning did a good job capturing all Jean Harris' mannerisms, and the make up and costumes were spot-on.
The stuff covering the Madeira years was way off- the writer/director could have done better homework. If the writer is right about the prescription drug abuse and depression, however, it explains a lot about Mrs.
Harris' erratic behavior during that time.
