Review of Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) by Guy G — 07 Nov 2011
[C/60] Mawkish and predictably silly shtick-com that puts Robin Williams in bad drag showboating mode, full of insufferable pathos, and Sally Field in a ridiculously one-dimensional cardboard role. But hey! such cute kids, etc.
It nevertheless can be genuinely funny at times. This is above-average brain-dead zone entertainment, with a budget, for those times when you can't find HD episodes of The Beverly Hillbillies or Gilligan's Island on the tube.
