Review of Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) by Praveen D — 15 Jul 2013
Mrs. Doubtfire is to me, a bit like a sitcom. By that, I mean, it handles some really irredeemable situations with some redeeming humour. Humour helps us understand better, sometimes, the real feelings involved.
Robin Williams is very good, and so are the others:).
Having said that, the film is little more than an excuse for Robin Williams to "dress up in drag and play nanny to his kids". Can't get away from that. You also cannot get away from the fact that it is a rather silly little film in many, many ways.
No matter:) There are numerous satisfying little laughs along the way.
