Review of Mrs. Dalloway (1997) by Laura : — 29 Nov 2007
Fabulous.
I loved it so much.
Vanessa Redgrave was brilliant, and everything that I had expected Mrs Dalloway to be after having read the book and Natascha McElhone was very convincing as a younger Version of her.
I was quite impressed with how the book translated onto the screen, ti was quite faithful and didn't over look the issues fo time and suicide at all, though, I felt it over played Sally's role slightly- and the issues of lesbianism which I hadn't really considered to be a vital part of the story in the least.
