Saw Mrs B B D'Movie today :).

Was expecting it to be 'terrible', compared to the show (as most film spin off are). But glad to say 'I was wrong' and it is near as good quality as the show itself. It has flaws that do let it down but it still holds most of its charm. I can see this film not being as funny for non-show viewers thou. So if you don't like the show its not your film.

The film does have a few in-jokes only show watcher would know but it also has in-jokes from the show I miss, such as the Granda / Agnes love /hate banter. The start film jokes are better then the end of film jokes but there are a few gems in the extra out-takes in the end.

Cons- there are a few jokes that are flat and old, One recurring joke is a little too racist for my taste (china man). Non-show watcher may not understand items (the re-takes).

Pro-- 'Comedy films' I don't enjoy because i'm difficult to make laugh and often a Comedy film is too long for some jokes, that jokes die very quick. But this film I did laugh, at least 20 times :D and 1 time on the out-take in the end. The film best jokes are still its great "one liners" we see from the show. The flat area's where the jokes are (not funny to all) are short lived. The film length is just right some bits could be cut out but it does not over stay its welcome.

Best seen- This one is a group comedy best seen with mates. I think its better seen in cinema or a party with lots of people looking for laugh or a fan group. I think it will lose some of its charm when it get to t.v. or seen alone. Never watch with a non-fan of show they wont get it and suck the charm out.

How it could have been better--.

(1)- I feel where it lets itself down is when it strays from the Agnes family world. Buster is the only character who works in 'some' of these outsider settings (court house). Most of the characters that are non-Agnes bb cast do fall flat (with a few exceptions and wanted more of :) (i). the Granny, (ii). Buster' and female judge. (iii). I feel more could have been done with the receptionist and warehouse security.

(2)- The 'bad guys' are the film's biggest flaw, they are very flat and need more depth (there was one possibility but it was lost) Quote "i don't kill your mum cause her name Agnes and my grandmother name Agnes", a ready back story right there and could have been used. "why does a Russian hit man have and grandmother with an Irish name? Ahhh I still want to know!! lol There are 4-5 bad guys but one fully developed one would have been better.

(3)- I think if the end could have been edited to the best jokes and more banter could have been made by non-show cast. The show characters keeps the film alive and going, you can tell this style is natural to them. I feel its because they are used to jumping off script to make things better and they feel free in the jokes and roles. Where the non- show characters actors seams ridged and script reading with a few exceptions. (an example of this can be seen in the out-takes).

~If it could compare what film would it rate the same as this.~ It rates like a Austen Powers, the 2nd film not as good as the first but still funny and enjoyable.

Rate: just above average. Enjoyment out-weighs its flaws and it will leave you with funny one liners ---which I wont quote so not to spoil them :).
