Review of Mrs Brown (1997) by Sarah W — 29 Aug 2009
It was okay. I found myself slightly bored at times, which is rare considering it's a period piece. But really it didn't do much for me. Yes, Judi Dench was amazing, as was Billy Connolly but I felt like something was missing.
I think I would have liked to have seen a movie with less politics and more about her family. I know that's hard because we're talking about Queen Victoria but perhaps how a relationship with one of her daughters or grand-daughters was strained by her mourning.
I don't know. . .
