Review of Mr. Woodcock (2007) by ♥ T4Yy L — 03 May 2009
Another of BBT's misanthropic characters in the vein of his excellent Bad Santa and just as packed with cruel laughs. You just know that Mr. Woodcock is eventually going to see the error of his ways (kinda) but its great fun watching him destroy the PC, victim-friendly philosophy that has held sway in the US along the way.
Stiffler plays the straight guy and does well (as does Sarandon's ditzy mom) in the midst of some great slapstick and 'your mom' jokes (I spat teeth yocking at the 'chair to the head' and 'motor-boating' gags) and Any Poehler's turn as the alcoholic PR bitch was inspired.
Hell, I liked it.
