Review of Mr. Woodcock (2007) by Christopher H — 28 Mar 2010
There are a number of laughs to be found in Mr. Woodcock, especially from Ethan Suplee. Surprisingly, it's Billy Bob Thornton himself who falls flat by the middle of the movie. There's only so much cantankerous behavior delivered from an unchanging mask the audience can take before it becomes tedious.
The concept wears thin pretty fast. Seann William Scott clashes with Billy Bob Thornton again and again, with supposedly hilarious results. I'd say it works about half the time.
