Review of Mr. Vampire (1985) by Cody J — 14 Jul 2008
The film that gave the late, great Lam Ching-Ying his most fondly remembered role remains a cool action comedy horror with plenty of spirit busting and hopping vampires (not to mention some funny situation comedy moments).
Lam is also ably supported by the likes of Chin Siu-Ho (why did he never get a decent starring role?), Moon Lee and Ricky Hui. Although some jokes do not really travel all that well, this is still a riot from start to finish!
