An outstanding performance by Timothy Spall. Mike Leigh works his magic in his new biopic 'Mr Turner' and my gosh, isn't it beautiful?
The cinematography, screenplay and wonderful set of actors have all contributed to this masterpiece, a must see of 2014. Spall's grunting and growling throughout the film emphasises different thoughts and feelings of Mr JMW Turner which makes the moviegoer think a lot. I was deeply in awe of his performance that it has easily become a potential Oscar winner of 2015.
The backdrop of Victorian England is breathtakingly beautiful. Leigh's direction gives the audience a real insight into the day to day life of Mr turner and how the romantic era would've felt like.
Overall, I highly recommend Mr Turner for anyone who simply wants to watch a good film!
