A long but rewarding bio picture about an obscure but famous artist from Great Britain. Mike Leigh does another amazing job delving into the character of a man who is not that easy to embrace. Timothy Spall is amazing in the title role! He deserves Oscar consideration and that also includes a stellar performance by Dorothy Atkinson! The movie also does a great job exploring an artist, the world of art and the stuffy critics who just don't get it.
Each frame of the movie looks like a picture, great art direction and cinematography!
