Beautifully filmed, great set designs and scenery. Acting was pretty good as well. However, the movie is a brilliant painter, who apparently wasn't a very nice person. There are multiple scenes of sexual assault, and general behavior that is downright ugly.
He is a compulsive liar, and denies who he is and that he was married or had children. too much of the movie was just plain gross.
